Snow Leopard is a poetic performance with newly composed music by Emeli Jeremias and Karin Hellqvist. Aerial acrobat Manda Rydman interprets the text with her body. The words are read by actor Sannamari Patjas.

 

Tua Forsström is a Finnish-Swedish poet who has been loved by his readers for a long time, not least for the collection of poems Snow Leopard. Since 2019, she sits on chair 18 in the Swedish Academy.

 

Emeli Jeremias is a cellist, singer and composer who wrote and arranged music for theater scenes and concert productions and also acted in children's shows and was an acting musician at Stockholm's Stadsteater and Riksteatern among others.. She has released two records under her own name and participates as a musician and producer on the majority of others. Emeli is the initiator and producer of the show.

 

Karin Hellqvist is a violinist who gives concerts and workshops all over the world mainly in contemporary art music. In 2024, she completed her doctorate at the Oslo Academy of Music by exploring the collaboration between composer and musician and their role in the design of the work. For her solo album Flock, she received the award Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik.

 

Manda Rydman is a circus artist and aerial acrobat and has studied in Rotterdam and Kiev, among others. In Sweden, she has been seen, among other things, in Cirkus Cirkör's hit show Wear it like a crown. Manda tours all over the world with a base in Stockholm.

 

Sannamari Patjas graduated from the Theater Academy in Stockholm in 1998 and has since performed at Dramaten, Uppsala Stadsteater, Länsteatern in Örebro, Scenkonst Sörmland, Norrbottensteatern, Uusi Teatteri, Teater Västmanland and Estrad Norr. She has appeared in films such as Ondskan, Gossip, Wallander: Afrikanen, Cornelis and television productions such as Before we die, Livet i Fagervik, Hammarkullen and Möbelhandlarens dotter.

 

 

The performance had its premiere at Rimbo Kulturscen Opalen, May 2024 and has been made possible with the support of the Norwegian Cultural Council and Roslagen's Savings Bank in collaboration with Stockholm University and others.
